Syngman Rhee 1st President Of South Korea 1948 – 1960 Autograph ''Rare''

Syngman Rhee [1875 1965] was a South Korean statesman, the first and the last Head of State of the Provisional
Government
of the Republic of Korea who served as the 1st President of South Korea from 1948 to 1960. Rhee was regarded as an anti-communist and a strongman who led South Korea through the Korean War. Rhee presidency ended in resignation following popular protests against a disputed election and he was forced to flee the country and died in exile in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1965. Listed for auction is the autograph of Syngman Rhee signed on a postal envelope. The envelope has his name and title as President of South Korea in type and the autograph is signed ”Syngman Rhee” in black fountain pen. The envelope is postmarked
Mar 24, 1953, and
is affixed with one U.S postage stamp. The envelope measures 6.50 x 5.25 inches, it has trivial toning otherwise it is in fine condition. The autograph is authentic, hand signed, rare to obtain and is a very nice example of this South Korean statesman. We have listed a nice collection of aviation, military and astronaut autographs.
